We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malware.

A cookie stores information related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean we can directly identify you.

We use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness; these are stored on your device for a defined period. If you revisit our site to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have been here before and recall your inputs and settings so you don’t need to enter them again.

We also use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offering for you (see Section 5). These cookies likewise enable us to recognize that you have visited us before. They are automatically deleted after a defined period.

The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can configure your browser to prevent cookies from being stored or to always display a notice before a new cookie is created. Please note that completely disabling cookies may mean you cannot use all functions of our website.

5. Analytics tools

a) Tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below are carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. They help us tailor our website to your needs and continuously optimize it. We also use them to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for optimization purposes. These are legitimate interests within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective purposes and categories of data can be found in the descriptions of the tools.

b) millenium / Matomo Analytics

To design our pages according to demand and to continuously optimize them, we use millenium / Matomo Analytics, a web analytics service by Matomo, hosted by millenium lab GmbH on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (https://www.hetzner.com/de/legal/legal-notice). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used (see Section 4). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website — such as

  • browser type/version,
  • operating system used,
  • referrer URL (previously visited page),
  • host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
  • time of the server request,

is transmitted to a millenium server in Germany and stored there. This information is used to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and demand-oriented design of these pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties where required by law or where third parties process the data on our behalf. Your IP address will not be merged with other millenium data. IP addresses are anonymized so that assignment is not possible (“IP masking”).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, please note that you may then be unable to use the full functionality of this website.

As an alternative — especially for mobile browsers — you can prevent collection by millenium Analytics by clicking this link:

Disable millenium Analytics
An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie is valid only in this browser and only for our website, and it is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

c) Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution with which so-called website tags can be managed via an interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal user data. However, the tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data.
You can find more information about Google Tag Manager here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

d) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), for the purpose of designing and continuously optimizing our website to meet your needs.
In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are used (see section 4). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

Browser type/version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
Time of the server request
are transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the needs-based design of this website. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf.
The IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

e) Google Ads (formerly AdWords) conversion tracking and remarketing
We also use Google Conversion Tracking and Remarketing from Google Ads to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. Google Ads places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad.

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Ads customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Ads customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

With remarketing, we use cookies to retarget users on other websites in the Google advertising network based on their visit to our website.

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, i.e. only with your consent. You can revoke this at any time via our consent management tool.

Further information on data protection at Google Ads can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

7. Right to object

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to such processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation, or to object to processing for direct marketing purposes. To exercise your right to withdraw consent or to object, simply email datenschutz@wsb-berater.de.

8. Data security

You can tell whether an individual page is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed key/lock symbol in your browser’s address or status bar.

We also implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
